Cole Plumbing has answered the phone for Bay City and Matagorda County since 1950 — the year Waddie and Georgia Cole opened the shop. We still pick up. We still show up. Usually within 30 minutes.
Most homes in Bay City don't want to juggle three different contractors. That's why Cole carries all three trade licenses — so when something breaks, you call once.
Leak detection, slab leaks, hidden-pipe finds, drain clearing, fixture install, repipes, and the surprise stuff that happens at 4 PM on a Friday.
Tank, tankless, gas, electric — install and repair. We carry the most common parts and replacement units, so most jobs finish same day.
Central AC, mini-splits, furnaces, heat pumps. Texas-licensed HVAC (TACLB00057480E) covering install, repair, and seasonal tune-ups.
Restaurants, retail, light industrial — code-compliant work, quick scheduling, and crews who understand a business can't afford downtime.
Walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines. Restaurants and grocers across Matagorda County rely on us to keep the cold side cold.
Custom ductwork, mechanical work, fittings. Built in-house — no waiting on a sub to fabricate what your job needs.
Customers tell us the same thing again and again: we pick up the phone, we show up fast, and we don't disappear when the job's hard.
"They came out within 30 minutes and devoted their time to find it." — on locating a hidden pipe leak.
"My family has always used Cole Plumbing. Always responded quickly. Very dependable."
"Great customer service, professionalism, and great reputation and product knowledge."
Waddie Cole came home to Bay City after the Army, opened the shop with his wife Georgia, moved to 7th Street in 1960. His granddaughter's husband — William Scott Striebeck — runs it today, with three trade licenses on the wall.
The reason families call Cole when their water heater quits at 5:30 AM isn't a clever ad — it's that we picked up the phone last time, and the time before, and the time before that. For 76 years.
We carry every license Texas requires for plumbing, mechanical, and air conditioning work — including TACLB00057480E, the state HVAC license — so one truck shows up and the job gets done right.
